Eating the right foods can not only benefit your teeth but your baby’s teeth for the future. Our team is going to show you foods that can help in the growth of teeth for your baby.

When you are deciding what proteins will be best, consider buying lean proteins, eggs, beans, and legumes at the grocery store. These lean meats may include: lean beef, skinless chicken, ground turkey or fish.

Choosing low-fat or fat-free dairy products can be a great source of calcium and other essential nutrients needed for strong and healthy teeth. Consume dairy products like plain yogurt, milk, hard cheeses, or cottage cheese.

Fruits and vegetables

Fruits and vegetables should be at least half of what you consume in a day in order to provide you and your baby the necessary nutrients needed to build healthy gums, tissue and teeth. Consider carrots, apples, pears, leafy greens, peppers, cucumbers or celery.

Ensure that the grains you are eating are whole-grain products. Some whole-grain products may include: oatmeal, whole wheat bread and brown rice.

Next time you’re at the store, consider the foods you buy and how certain foods can help in the health and condition of you and your baby’s teeth. If you have any questions, give our office a call at 970.259.1646 today!
